Account
Sign in, your list of rambles, moving earlier rambles in, deleting your account.
You can use Ramble without an account for a few rambles. An account adds ownership of your rambles, a list that follows you between browsers, uploads and coding agents.
Signing in
Ramble signs you in with Google, and only Google. There is no separate password. Without a Google account you can't have a Ramble account.
Ramble stores your name, email address and Google account ID for your account. It uses them to sign you in, show you your rambles and contact you about the service. It doesn't use them to train models or for advertising. Press Sign in in the header of the home page, or go to ramble.sh/signin.
An account gives you:
- Recording past the free rambles. See Recording.
- Ownership. A ramble recorded while you are signed in belongs to your account. Only you can delete, edit, reorder or retry it. Anyone with the link can still view it.
- A list of your rambles in any browser, and on your phone if you are in the phone app's private testing.
- Uploads. See Uploading a video.
- Coding agents. An agent can only see rambles that belong to an account. See Coding agents.
Your rambles
ramble.sh/mine lists your rambles, newest first. Each row has the title, the date, how many findings it has (or that it is still being read, or failed), how long the recording is and how many days are left before it is removed.
Signed in, the list shows everything recorded with your account, in any browser or on your phone, plus anything recorded in this browser. Signed out, it shows only what this browser recorded. That list lives on the device, so it doesn't follow you to another browser. The links keep working wherever you paste them.
If an agent has worked on a ramble, its row also shows the project, a summary such as "2 of 5 fixed", who has it claimed, and the request it answered. Only you see these.
At the bottom of the page are Connected agents and Delete account.
Move earlier rambles into your account
If you recorded while signed out and sign in later, your earlier rambles move into your account. You don't have to do anything.
- Sign in in the same browser you recorded with. Ramble recognises a browser by a cookie it sets when you start a recording. The rambles that browser recorded while you were signed out are added to your account when you next open the home page, Your rambles or the upload page.
- Rambles from before Ramble tracked browsers can't be moved. There is nothing that proves which browser recorded them. They stay where they are. Your agent won't see them.
- Another browser or computer won't do. Sign in on the one that recorded them. If you cleared your cookies for ramble.sh first, Ramble can't tell which rambles were yours.
- A shared computer is one identity. Whoever signs in first in that browser takes what it recorded.
Moving a ramble never uses the ramble's link. Having a link to someone else's ramble doesn't let you claim it.
Connected agents and tokens
Your list of rambles has a Connected agents card. It shows every coding agent you connected, any personal agent tokens you made, and the phone and Mac apps you are signed in on. Each has a Revoke button, and Ramble asks you to confirm. The card also holds How agents proceed, the choice between planning first and acting after posting the plan, which only you can change. See Revoking and personal tokens and Plan first or act.
Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself, and it happens immediately.
- Sign in and open Your rambles.
- At the bottom of the page choose Delete account.
- Read what it says and confirm. Nothing is deleted until the second step.
Deleting your account removes:
- your name, email address and Google account ID;
- every ramble the account owns, whether you recorded it on the web while signed in, recorded it in a browser before signing in there, or uploaded it: the video, screenshots, your voice, the transcript, the findings, your notes and any uploaded file. A link to one of them afterwards only says it was deleted;
- every sign-in token on the account: your phone, the Mac app and any connected coding agent;
- the agent notes, statuses and requests stored with those rambles;
- any copy Ramble set aside to improve the product.
It doesn't remove:
- rambles recorded signed out, in a browser where you never signed in afterwards. They belong to no account. Delete each one from its own page;
- a copy someone already downloaded;
- a model that has already been trained on a recording, which can't be untrained;
- server logs, which Ramble keeps for a limited time.
You can also ask by email: write to hello@kiruna.ai from the address you sign in with. Ramble confirms within 30 days. There is a short page for this too, at /account/delete.
